Sacramento Repair Appliance Terms of Use

Welcome to Sacramento Repair Appliance. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our dispatch platform and the appliance repair services provided by the local technicians in our network. By scheduling a service or allowing a dispatched technician to commence service, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined herein. It is your responsibility to carefully review these terms. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of these policies.

Sacramento Repair Appliance reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. We encourage all customers to review these Terms periodically.

Non-Refundable Service Charge

We charge a non-refundable service charge (also referred to as a service fee) for every service call, including diagnostic appointments for appliance repair. The fee will be quoted at the time of scheduling a service and must be paid at the time of service, regardless of whether the repair service proceeds.

The service charge covers travel expenses, diagnostic labor, and the evaluation performed by a highly trained technician. Should you choose to move forward with the recommended repair, the service fee will be included in the total repair costs.

Payment Terms and Collection Costs

Payment is due upon completion of the repair unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept credit cards, checks, and cash as forms of payment.

If a payment is returned or declined, the customer will incur a processing fee of $50.00. Any overdue amounts may incur interest at an annual rate of 18% or the maximum applicable legal rate, whichever is lower. Customers agree to pay all costs, including legal fees and collection expenses, should enforcement of the payment terms be necessary.

Limited Warranty

Sacramento Repair Appliance and its network of professionals stand behind the quality of their work and parts. That is why we proudly offer a 3-month (90-day) warranty on all replacement parts and workmanship associated with the appliance repair services provided.

Our warranty is designed to give you peace of mind and protect your investment after your service appointment. Here’s exactly what it covers—and what it does not:

What Our Warranty Covers Our 3-month warranty applies to:

  • Replacement parts installed by the technician during your repair.

  • Labor and workmanship involved in completing your repair service.

If a defect in material or labor occurs within the warranty period, the problem will be fixed at no additional cost to you. Depending on the situation, the technician will either:

  • Replace the defective part.

  • Perform additional labor to correct the issue.

  • Refund the amount paid for the original repair, if a resolution is not possible.

What Our Warranty Does Not Cover Our warranty does not cover component failures or issues that arise from circumstances beyond the scope of the original repair. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Moving the Appliance: If the appliance is relocated after the technician has completed the repair, the warranty is void. Movement can cause stress or new issues unrelated to the original work.

  • Plumbing-Related Repairs: If a repair involves plumbing connections (such as a dishwasher or washer) and the replacement of water lines is recommended but declined by you, any future leaks or plumbing failures are not covered.

  • Improper Use or Commercial Use: Our warranty applies only to residential appliances used in a home environment. Appliances used for commercial purposes or in ways not intended by the manufacturer are excluded from warranty protection.

  • Failure to Follow Manufacturer’s Warranty Terms: If an appliance is still under a manufacturer’s warranty and its required care or maintenance terms are not followed, our coverage will not apply.

  • Pre-Existing Problems or New Issues: The warranty only covers the specific repair performed and parts replaced. Any new problems unrelated to the service will require a new diagnostic and may incur additional costs.

Important Warranty Limitations The obligation under this warranty is strictly limited to:

  • Providing replacement parts for the specific repair.

  • Refunding the original amount paid if a replacement is not feasible.

Other warranties, whether express or implied, including those of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are not provided or assumed. If you experience a problem related to your original repair within the warranty period, please contact us immediately so we can dispatch a technician to assess the situation.

Limitation of Liability

Sacramento Repair Appliance shall not be held liable for any damages that are incidental, special, or consequential that arise from the use of our dispatch services or the appliance repair. We are not responsible for any damage to flooring, cabinetry, countertops, or other home structures that may occur when moving appliances, even if the technician is required to do so.

Furthermore, we shall not be liable for any damages resulting from inherent appliance risks such as component failure, food spoilage during refrigeration repairs, or any unforeseen issues beyond our control. Your acceptance of these terms and conditions explicitly includes a waiver of claims related to these risks.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with any signed or electronically agreed-upon service appointment details, constitute the complete and final agreement between Sacramento Repair Appliance and the customer.

By scheduling a service appointment, accepting a service call, or allowing a technician to commence service, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:

  • No verbal statements, prior discussions, text messages, phone conversations, or informal communications will alter or replace the terms outlined in this agreement.

  • Any promises, statements, or representations made outside of this written agreement are not binding unless specifically documented in writing and incorporated into the service contract or invoice.

  • Sacramento Repair Appliance will only be bound by the terms explicitly listed herein.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms of use shall be resolved in a court of jurisdiction located in Sacramento County, California.

Damage Waivers

We and the technicians in our network take great care when servicing your appliances. However, certain repair activities involve inherent risks that cannot always be eliminated, even when the work is performed carefully and professionally. By proceeding with a service call, customers acknowledge and accept these specific risks as outlined below.

Waiver of Damages When Moving Appliance In some cases, the technician may need to move an appliance to access internal components. Moving heavy or built-in appliances can pose a risk of damage to the appliance itself or surrounding areas, including floors, cabinetry, and walls. By allowing the technician to commence service and move the appliance, the customer agrees to hold Sacramento Repair Appliance and the dispatched technicians harmless from any breakage or damage that may occur.

Waiver of Damages When Working with Water When servicing appliances connected to your plumbing system, even a small adjustment can cause unexpected plumbing issues such as leaks from aged lines or flooding due to worn fittings. Except in cases of gross negligence, Sacramento Repair Appliance is not liable for any damages resulting from water leaks or floods associated with these repairs.

Waiver of Damages from Failed Cooling Equipment Servicing refrigeration equipment carries special risks due to the complexity of these cooling systems. By authorizing work on refrigeration equipment, the customer acknowledges that Sacramento Repair Appliance is not responsible for any damages, including but not limited to food spoilage, business loss, or inconvenience due to unexpected component failure.

Waiver of Damages from Lifting Glass Cooktop In some repairs, accessing components beneath a glass or ceramic cooktop is necessary. Despite exercising extreme care, there is an inherent risk of cracking, chipping, or full breakage. By allowing the technician to lift or remove a glass or ceramic cooktop, the customer waives all claims for any damage that may occur during the service.
